Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch recognizes attorneys who are earlier in their careers for professional excellence in private practice.
Best Lawyers believes the quality of their peer-review survey directly relates to the quality of voters, so only lawyers who were previously recognized by Best Lawyers were asked to review their constituents for the 2025 recognitions.
For the 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, Best Lawyers analyzed more than 3.2 million surveys, resulting in only 79,116 lawyers being honored in the new edition.
For the 2025 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America, Best Lawyers analyzed more than 1.2 million surveys, resulting in only 26,916 lawyers being honored in the new edition.
